• 1933 - Born in Buenos Aires.
• 1947 - Joins the National Academy of Fine Arts.
• 1956 - Graduates with the title of Professor of Drawing and Technician in Artistic Advertising.
• 1958 - He is hired by Grant Advertising for their agency in Brazil and starts to divide his activity as a painter with  advertising. Produces a large mural for the Government of Rio Grande do Sul.
• 1961 - Marries Marina Thiel Grillo. The nature and climate of Brazil strongly influence his painting, which evolves into a kind of fauvism .
• 1964 - The couple moves to Milan. Balzi obtains Italian citizenship and hangs out with Carlo Carrà and other artists of the time.
• 1965 - His daughter Silvia is born.
• 1966 - Transfers his residence to Madrid.
• 1968 - Moves to Barcelona, where his son Mario is born. His painting evolves into a kind of metaphysical expressionism.
• 1970 - Illustrates the complete works of Baltasar Gracián for the publisher Argos Vergara.
• 1971 - Participates in the 1st Congress of Plastic Arts in Latin America at Sala Gaudí. Meets Salvador Dalí.
• 1972 - Participates in the International Exhibition in honor of Picasso in Vallauris, France.
• 1976 - He is invited by the Gian Ferrari gallery in Milan to participate in the "Decima Biennale di Campione d'Italia". Exhibits at the Angel Boscán Gallery in Caracas, Venezuela.
• 1979 - Illustrates the novels "Facundo" and "Recuerdos de Provincia" by Domingo F. Sarmiento and the complete works by José Martí.  Obtains the diploma from the Accademia de Brera. Qualified by the University of Bologna, he assumes the Chair of Artistic Education , Design and History of Art at the Liceo Italiano in Barcelona.
• 1980 - Participates in the inaugural exhibition of MAC in Nicaragua.
• 1981 - Attends, as a guest professor, the Symposium on New Mural Painting Techniques at Libera Università Europea in Montefiore Conca, Italy.
• 1982 - Together with the sculptor Vicente Mir, he presents the 50 works of the Sculpture and Painting project at the Fontana D'Or gallery in Gerona, Spain. Exhibits at MAC in São Paulo.
• 1987 - Participates in the exhibition New Spanish Expressionists, in New York. Moves to Brazil.
• 1988 - The São Paulo Creation Club makes a big exhibition  of his illustrations.
• 1989-1991 - Teaches postgraduate courses in Art History and Methodology of Art Teaching at FAAP in São Paulo. Together with his sister, Beatriz, he speaks at the Congress of Art Education in La Havana, Cuba. He teaches several courses in Art History for the Municipal Secretary of Culture, Italian Institute of Culture, Aliança Francesa, Ioschpe Foundation and several other institutions. The Museum of Brazilian Art and the Italian Institute of Culture organize a large retrospective exhibition of his work, at FAAP.
• 1992 - The Spanish Embassy organizes an exhibition of his work with the occasion of the 5th Centenary of the Discovery of America. The publisher Ática publishes his course O Impressionismo .
• 1993 - Participates in an exhibition at the Paço Municipal de Santo André.
• 1994-1997 - Holds painting and graffiti workshops with street teenagers and graffiti artists for the Secretary of State for Culture, based on his project “3rd Generation Images” (gesture intervention on media images).
• 1998 - Has his works exhibited at the State Museum of Tübingen (Germany), in the exhibition entitled "Balzi and the Children of Art". Participates in the first SP Arte, opening exhibition of the XXV Bienal de São Paulo.
• 1998-2004 - Holds painting and graffiti workshops for underprivileged teenagers in six centers in the city of Santo André.
 • 2004 - His wife Marina dies.
• 2005 - Participates in the exhibition "Transeuntes" at MAC in São Paulo.
• 2010 - Develops a painting course for Claretian Colleges of distance education and has his work Meninos de Arte , a detailed methodology of art education, published by Editora Nova Alexandria. Both works encompass an extensive and thorough compendium of Balzi's artistic thought.
• 2013 - Exhibition "Balzi and the Children of Art" at Centro Cultural Cervantes in São Paulo.
• 2015 - He wins the Highlight Personalities award by the Latin America Presence organisation  ( PAL).
• 2017 - Participates in the 2nd International Biennial of Art of Gaia (Portugal) at the invitation of the artist Fernando Durão.
• 2017 - Dies in São Paulo, on September 21st.
• 2017 - In November, the exhibition “Balzi, the years of Barcelona: 1967-1987” opens at the Instituto Cervantes in São Paulo.
